The academic year in the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University starts in June every year. From 2015-16, the admission to all the programs of the University are being operated through Online admission process. The payment may be done either using online process (using a credit card or debit card or internet banking or mobile money identifier (MMID), or thrugh cash transactions at any branch of the State Bank of India.
From academic year 2020-18, University has made available the facility of 'Online application for Admission' to the aspiring students to apply for admission to the various programs.

The motivation behind the 'Online application for Admission' is to provide an online mechanism through which applicants can directly apply online to the program and Study Center affiliated to university. This is also about enabling applicants from distant/remote locations to apply to Study Center of their choice.
Candidate must read the prospectus before applying for the program and satisfy himself that he/she satisfy the admission eligibility criteria. Fess will not be refunded to candidates who do not satisfy the criteria for admission. After you have successfully completed the admission process, you will be admitted as a student and get a Permanent Registration Number through SMS and email.

If you are aspiring for admission to any Program in any affiliated Study Center of this University then you should apply for Online application for Admission.
Instructions for Filling up the Online Application Form
- Read all the information carefully given in all links before you click 'Apply Online'
- Do NOT create fake logins, since registration requires unique Mobile Number.
- If you do not have a mobile number, you can give mobile number of your nearest relatives (with their permission). One mobile number can be registered only once.
- You will be sent Login ID and Password on mobile by SMS.
- In case, if you are unable to apply online yourself, please visit the nearest study center for assistance.
- The online application form is personalized for you and hence will assist you in filling your relevant information only.
- The application must be made within the specified dates stipulated by University. The link to 'Apply' inside your login will be disabled if dates are over.
- Once you fill the application form successfully and apply, you will have to submit the printout of application form or show the form number to the study center along with necessary documents to the program-study center for which you have applied. You must ensure that study center verifies your application form after submission of form number/ printout.
- You may have to purchase the information brochure of the study center at the time of submission of form number /printout.
- Making online application does not mean that you have secured admission in the program in that study center.
